Heated Mouse Pad
Sent: December 29, 2002

(Update 12/09/03 - It has been almost a year and I still haven't found a heated mouse pad to use so I think I am going to get this hot pad and put it under my mouse pad and keyboard. If anybody has a better idea then please let me know.)

Surfing the Web tonight was very difficult because my hands were so cold that I could barely hold onto the mouse. It got me thinking about a heated mouse pad. I was thinking that would be able to warm the mouse and local surrounding enough to take some of the bite out of cold. An obvious solution would be to power it with a plug into a wall outlet. However, perhaps one could also find a way to heat it by transferring the heat generated from a laptop. A somewhat less ambitious approach would be to make a mouse pad that could go into the microwave and then emit heat for a reasonable amount of time. For now, I am wearing a couple of sweaters and it seems to work with my hands except the rest of my body is a bit warm.

Note: It is kind of fun writing about topics that nobody really knows about. However, it is also fun writing about Popular Topics as well. They may even be more fun to read about as well.
